Considered a reference in all the important Mozart and Strauss roles, such as Cherubino, Dorabella, Sesto, Idamante, Octavian and the Composer, she graduated with the same success to heavier roles like Charlotte / Werther (in Munich, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Vienna and New York), Marguerite / La Damnation de Faust (in Paris, Dresden and Amsterdam) Fricka and Waltraute / Der Ring des Nibelungen (in Paris, Vienna, Munich and Vienna), Venus / Tannhäuser (in London, Paris and Budapest), Die Amme / Die Frau ohne Schatten in Toulouse, Lisa / Weinberg’s The Passenger in Munich, Herodias / Salome in Stuttgart, Kundry / Parsifal in Toulouse.
Other recent highlights include La Mère / Louise at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Geneviève / Pelléas et Mélisande in Munich and Paris, Madame de Croissy / Dialogues des Carmélites at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
Her impeccable technique enabled her to sing dramatic soprano parts such as the title role of Paul Dukas’ Ariane et Barbe-Bleue, Marie / Wozzeck in Toulouse, Sieglinde / Walküre in Marseille and Isolde / Tristan und Isolde in Toulouse.
In the 2025/26 season, she debutes Klytämnestra / Elektra in Helskini and sings Geneviève / Pelléas et Mélisande in Genève, La Mère / Louise in Lyon and Herodias / Salome in Toulouse. With the Mozarteum Orchestra under Roberto González-Monjas she will sing Mozart’s Requiem in Salzburg.
The mezzo-soprano regularly works with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Antonio Pappano, Ivor Bolton, Sir Roger Norrington, Franz Welser-Möst, Zubin Mehta, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Philippe Jordan, Kirill Petrenko, Kent Nagano, Sir Simon Rattle…
In 2016 she was granted the honorific title of Kammersägerin from the Vienna State Opera.
