Adorján Pataki
Born in 1981 in Romania, lirico spinto tenor Adorján Pataki graduated from the Academy Gheorghe Dima in Cluj Napoca with Marius Vlad. He also studied in Paris with Viorica Cortez.
He has been a member of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj from 2005. In Romania, he has appeared in all musical institutions of the country including National Opera in Bucarest, Timisoara, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov. He is also a permanent guest at the National Opera Budapest and at the National Philharmonic Hungary. He has performed in Germany (Madama Butterfly in Darmstadt, Chemnitz, Luisa Miller in Aachen, Bohème in Bonn, Trovatore in Erfurt…), Czech Republic (Simone Boccanegra in Prague…), Norway (Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Macbeth in Bergen…), Spain (Psalmus Hungaricus in Madrid….).
Adorján’s burnished bronze voice colour and exciting ringing high notes make him the perfect tenor in the Italian lirico spinto repertoire : Tosca, Trovatore, Don Carlos, Aida, Attila, Bohème, Un Ballo in maschera, Macbeth …
Last year he sang Hyunyadi Laszlo and Traviata in Budapest, Bohème, Aida, Cavalleria Rusticana in Cluj-Napoca, La Rondine in Budapest
In 2024-2025 he will be singing Riccardo / Un Ballo in maschera and Pinkerton / Madama Butterfly in Budapest and Des Grieux / Manon Lescaut in Cluj Napoca and Budapest.
In 2025-2026 he will make his debut in the title role of St Saëns’ Samson et Dalila at Slovak National Opera in Bratislava.
