Arthur Pérot
French tenor Arthur Pérot first trained as an actor before turning to opera, bringing to his singing a rare dramatic instinct and compelling stage presence. His theatrical background, combined with a naturally lyrical voice and an expressive musical personality, has already marked him out as one of the most promising young French tenors of his generation.
He began his artistic training under the renowned theatre director Pierre Debauche at the Théâtre du Jour in Agen. Since 2019, he has been a member of Compagnie Hecho en Casa, with whom he has enjoyed considerable success in Blanche, l’odyssée d’une vie, a production presented at major French venues including the Scène nationale du Sud-Aquitain in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the Festival d’Avignon. These formative years on the dramatic stage awakened a profound passion for singing and music, naturally leading him towards an operatic career.
Arthur studied at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Toulouse, and is pursuing advanced vocal training with Didier Laclau-Barrère, with whom he has studied since 2023. This dual training has enabled him to combine vocal development with the theatrical intelligence that characterises all of his performances.
His recent appearances include Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Les Musicales de Castelnaudary, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro with Les Chants de Garonne, Gonzalve in Ravel’s L’Heure espagnole at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Élisabeth in Brussels, and Orphée in Offenbach’s Orphée aux enfers. His concert repertoire already includes major choral works such as Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle and Mozart’s Requiem.
An important milestone in his young career came with his debut at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, where he appeared as Gérald in a specially adapted version of Delibes’ Lakmé. His performance led to an immediate re-engagement by the company, where he will return during the 2026–2027 season as Malcolm in Verdi’s Macbeth. In the same season, he will also make his role debut as Laerte in Thomas ‘ Hamlet in Tenerife.
Drawing on his unique background in theatre, Arthur brings exceptional dramatic credibility to every role he undertakes. As his repertoire continues to expand across the French, Italian and Mozartian traditions, he is rapidly establishing himself as an artist whose combination of vocal promise, musical intelligence and instinctive theatricality points towards a distinguished international career.
