Baptiste Bouvier

A remarkably young French bass (28), Baptiste Bouvier combines a sumptuous, naturally resonant timbre with the rare depth of a true bass voice, extending down to a low C, as well as a striking stage presence.

Originally trained as a cellist, he turned to singing at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Toulouse and currently continues his vocal development with Didier Laclau-Barrère.

Despite his young age, he has already appeared on stage as Panatellas in Offenbach’s La Périchole and Bartolo in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. His repertoire also includes sacred music and oratorio, notably Schubert’s Mass in E-flat major, Mozart’s Requiem and several Masses, and cantatas by Bach.

In the 2025–26 season, he made appearances at the Théâtre National du Capitole de Toulouse in Weinberg’s The Passenger as Second SS Officer, and in Strauss’s Salome as Fifth Jew and a Cappadocian.

In the 2026-2027 season, he sings Mozart’s Requiem in Toulouse, Peter Grimes and Le Roi Arthus by Chausson at Capitole de Toulouse
