Sabrina Sanza

Born in Napoli in 1996, Sabrina Sanza is a laureate of the 2024 Viñas Competition where she was praised for the beauty of her  voice, her magical piani in the upper register and her impeccable musicianship enabling her to win among other prizes, the prize for the best Verdi interpreter. She won many other competitions including the Ottavio Ziino competition (2021) and the  AsLiCo competition (2020).

Recent performances include Gilda / Verdi’s Rigoletto  at Teatr Wielki Narodowa in Warsaw, Teatro sociale in Como, Teatro Duse in Bologna, and Macerata Sferisterio,  Eva / Haydn’s Die Schöpfung   at 47° Festival della Valle d’Itria in a staged version conducted by Fabio Luisi, Lauretta / Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at Teatro Coccia of Novara, Adina / Elisir d’amore at Teatro Fusco in Taranto, Zerlina / Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.

She also sang Monica / Menotti’s The Medium in Savonna and Trapani, Idalide  / Cimarosa’s  Vergine del sole in Caserta and St Peterburg, Musetta / Puccini’s La Bohème in Napoli, Inès / Verdi’s Il Trovatore and Tebaldo / Verdi’s Don Carlo in Brescia, Como, Cremona, Pavia…

In concert, she sang Jommelli’s Requiem in Roma, Mozart’s Requiem in Como and  the New Year concert 2021 at Teatro Verdi of Trieste for under the baton of Fabrizio Maria Carminati.

Sabrina began her musical studies at the age of 12 with M° Giovanni Aprea. She graduated with the highest marks at the  Conservatory of Music in Napoli in 2020 with M° Daniela del Monaco. She participated in many masterclasses at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as well as attended the Teatro Coccia Academy in Novara,  the “MOS: Mascagni opera studio 2019” of Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, the Accademia del Belcanto Rodolfo Celletti in Martina Franca and Akademia Belcanto in Wildbad.

She studies now with soprano Iano Tamar.
