Yeongtaek SEO comes from South Korea. He studied at the prestigious University of the Arts in Seoul.
He moved to Paris in 2020 and joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP), where he graduated in June 2022 summa cum laude. Next year, he will be pursuing his master degree under the guidance of professor Chantal Mathias
His light-lyric tenor voice, ideal for Mozart and Rossini, combine beauty of tone, mellowness and easy high notes.
In his homeland, Yeongtaek has already performed many roles such as Ferrando / Cosi fan tutte, Duca di Mantova / Rigoletto, Monostatos / Die Zauberflöte, or Gherardo / Gianni Schicc
He has a special affinity for the oratorio repertoire and has sung
Orff’s Carmina Burana and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung.
He recently made his debut to great success at the Opera
Comique in Paris during the benefit concert of the Unisson Fund. His Ferrando won him unanimous critical acclaim and he was singled out for his beauty of tone and elegance.
At the Paris Conservatory, he sang to great reviews Alfred / Die Fledermaus. He also made his debut in Lyon as Ramiro / Cenerentola in Lyon and debuted Nemorino / L’Elisir d’amore at the Centre des Bords de Marne).
