Marine Chagnon

French mezzo soprano Marine Chagnon was nominated in the Opera Newcomer category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2023. She studied modern-jazz dance, singing and dramatic art. After a master degree at the Paris Conservatory, she joined the Paris Opera Academy where she received several distinctions such as the Young Hope prize of the Mâcon Competition, the special jury prize of the Canary Competition and the AROP prize for the season 2021/22.

​She sang Euridice / Orfeo at the Dijon Opera, the title role of Scarlatti’s Giuditta at the Chaise Dieu Festival and at Auditorium du Louvre, Poppea / Incoronazione di Poppea at the Théâtre de l’Athénée and at the Dijon Opera. At the Paris National Opera she sang Paggio / Rigoletto, Tisbe / Cenerentola and a opera gala with Gustavo Dudamel, broadcast by Arte. She also appeared in Bordeaux (Kate / Butterfly), Nancy (Flora/Traviata), Philharmonie de Paris (Olympe la Rebelle), Vichy (Zweite Dame/Zauberflöte).

Her first solo album -Ljus- was released on MIRARE label, with pianist Joséphine Ambroselli, a collection of Swedish songs from the first half of the 20th century.

Marine Chagnon is a member of the Paris National Opera Troupe for the 2023/2024 season appearing a.o. as Zerlina / Don Giovanni, and in the title role in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.
