Sophie Koch joins DO OPERA
We are very happy to welcome acclaimed mezzo soprano Sophie Koch for general management.
The acclaimed French mezzo-soprano Sophie Koch has appeared on the world’s most important opera stages : Scala di Milano, Opéra de Paris, Covent Garden, Met Opera of New York, Vienna State Opera, Brussels De Munt, Liceu di Barcelona, Zurich, Salzburg Festival, Dresden Semperoper…
In the 2025/26 season, she debutes Klytämnestra / Elektra in Helskini and sings Geneviève / Pelléas et Mélisande in Genève, La Mère / Louise in Lyon and Herodias / Salome in Toulouse. With the Mozarteum Orchestra under Roberto González-Monjas she will sing Mozart’s Requiem in Salzburg.
In 2016 she was granted the honorific title of Kammersägerin from the Vienna State Opera.
